Popular Assamese singer Sangeeta Kakatis new video album -" Mor Priya Geet" is a perfect blend.
Popular Assamese singer, Sangeeta Kakatis new assamese album" Mor Priya Geet" composing of eight songs has been released. The famous song " Rongmone Patiba Rongore Mela" of the National Games and " Khelo aaha Khel" written by Dr Nirmal Prabha Bordoloi is a part of this album.
The theme song has been written by Ashim Bora and music is by Rajib Kalita. The clippings of football, hockey, atheletics etc have been shown in both the songs. Besides this, the pictures of famous sportsmen from Assam like Bhugeshwar Baruah, Dipankar Bhattacharya have also been shown in the video footage.
The album has been produced by Manash Adhikary while director of the album is Madhurya Bora. Photography is by Manash Adhikary and Ranjeet Mazumdar. Dance Director is Junali Sarma.
The album starts with a devotional song written by the great Vaishnav Saint, Srimanta Madhavdev. The photography of the song " Borosha Shikhta Dhora" written by Deben Sharma is really great.
There are influences from other states also in the album. There is a marriage song which has a distinct influence of Rajasthani music written by Geetha Hatikakoti. And there is the song "Sau Kapau Pahi" draws its inspiration from Gujrati music as well. There are shades of Karnataki music also evident in some parts of the album.
Photography in the video is good and the album is a perfect blend of music.

The ceasefire between UPDS and government has been extended for yet another term of six months. The truce pact extension came up a day after the Karbi militant outfit seeking it on condition that there must be sitting between the two sides in a period of three months. A day after it had expressed willingness, the centre responded and extended truce for another 6 month period. Notably, the ceasefire term ended on January 31, 2007. Both the sides came forward to renew the pact and instead the militant cadres went underground. Three KLNLF extremists including its area commander Makrang Dingklu were killed during an encounter with the Army early in the morning on Friday in Kamalabheti along the Nagaon-Karbi Anglong border. The fears of kala azars that gripped the people across the state have been allayed by the Guwhati Medical College Hospital authorities on Thursday. As many as eleven people from Panikhaity area in the outskirt of the city have been admitted to the Guwahati Medical College following some complaints resembling to kala azar. But the medical authority have yet to confirm it saying kala azar could be confirmed only after the necessary test. But his has forced the authority to sound alert in view of these chronic and potentially fatal parasitic diseases. The GMCH authorities have said they have been conducting tests but the results have yet to come. The state health department is set to sent instructions to all district administrations to deal with the situation firmly.
