SA Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs Little Champs, the largest talent hunt cum reality show for children is back in a new Avtar on Zee TV and is marching towards its peak in TRP. The program is aired every Friday and Saturday from 9:30 PM.


Out of over 60,000 contestants all over the country, 6 girls and 6 boys have been selected for the final rounds of this competition.



Antara Nandy is one of the final 6 girl finalist in this show and is representing Assam. Antara is 10 years of age and her home town is Guwahati (Noonmati). She was born at the Pragati Hospital, Sivasagar district of Assam. She started her education at “Budding Buds School” at Tinsukia district of Assam and stayed at Bordoloi Nagar.


Antara’s vocal quality and versatility has attracted all the great judges of the show like Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet, Kailash Kher, Dipika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, Kavita Krishnamurty, Udit Narayan .


Antara has now qualified amongst the top 3 girls which is again a excellent achievement and now onwards it will be decided by public votes (SMS).


Antara’s potential for vocals was spotted at a very early age of 4 years by her school and immediately she started her training on vocals. At the age of 5 years she started her training under the guidance of Padmashree Ustaad Rashid Khan for advance levels


Antara is a student of Delhi Public School and is a bright student. DPS-Ruby Park has encouraged Antara throughout her journey. She also is a student of SIP – ABACUS.


Antara was launched as the youngest classical vocalist at the Prestigious Durbar Hall, Kolkata at the age of 8 years. Antara is also trained in classical’s under the guidance of renowned guru’s like Jayanta Sarkar and Samiran Jana and she obtained tips on modern songs from Simanta Sarkar (Jojo).


She has performed in various shows and is a sought after child artist amongst various section of music connoisseurs in the eastern part of the country. Her biggest shows were at Netaji Indoor stadium, Kolkata in 2008 and in Patna Stadium in 2009.


Antara decided to try her luck in the talent hunt organized by Star TV as well as ZEE TV this year and she got selected for both the programs, finally Antara opted to be go for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs 2009


Little Antara has already shown that she is not only a good singer but also has a good heart thru her act of friendship with the Marathi girl Ananya who did not have any friendz due to a critical skin problem (shedding of skin like a snake every day). This was also shown on the TV and was also a news in many leading national dailies. Antara’s parents also promised to support Ananya in her struggle.

I hope parents make their children realize that music is for the soul and not for competition. These glitzy 'talent hunt' are as fierce as the word 'hunt'. Children think music is meant for competition and competition only. Sad but True...

GUWAHATI : Indian Bank opened its first all woman manned branch of in the GNB Road in the city. As what is seen as a precedence for many such moves in the future, a proposal to raise the retirement age from 58 to 60 years for employees of profit-making central public sector enterprises (CPSEs) has been approved by the Union Cabinet. Guwahati: In connection with the abduction and recovery of the dead bodies of the CCI Manager Kailash Jha and PWD junior Engineer Ajay Kumar Deka, the City Police has arrested five persons, inlcuding an Army officer, for kidnap and murder of Deka.
