Python rescued at Dimakuchi
A baby python measuring 1.5 meter and weighing 2 kg was rescued at Sonajuli village near Dimakuchi in Udalguri district recently on July 18 at 11 am. One Niranjan Deka, seeing the python climbing on the village bamboos ,rescued it unhurt to be deposited at the Dimakuchi unit of ABSU office. Kushal Deka,incharge of Samrang forest office under Nonoi forest range later released the reptile in the Samrang forest.Animal lovers of Udalguri appreciated the timely action of Dipak Baro, president and Raithai Baro.secretary of Dimakuchi anchalik ABSU for the safe rescue of the python. It needs mention that so far more than a dozen pythons have so far been rescued safely in Udalguri district in the current year.
