Career Awareness Programme
North East Regional Human Resource Development Society (NERHURDS) , a Changsari based Non Governmental Organisation in the district of Kamrup ( Rural) is going to organise one day youth programme on career awareness. The career awareness programme will be held at Saraighat College on 4th July from 10 am onwards. Eminent resource persons including Prof Dilip Kumar Baruah will be participating as resource person in the day long programme. The Bodo medium was introduced on 18th May 1963 in Assam. It was in 1976 the Bodo medium Students were lucky to appear for the Secondary Examination. A good number of students have passed out since then. Many intellectuals and people working in different fields have also studied in Bodo medium. There are about 20 lakhs Bodo population in Assam of which 4 lakh are students in Bodo medium studying in lower primary, upper primary and high schools in Bodo medium. There are only 27 Bodo medium provincialised high schools in Assam which do have sufficient teachers and no infrastructure for the students.
