Seven granades recovered from public bus at Tamulpur

Tamulpur Police and CRPF today recovered seven Granades from one Public Bus namely Deendayal (AS-01/G7298) coming from Darranga Mela towards Rangia at around 12 pm at Tamulpur under Bagsa district. A police and CRPF team led by SDPO, Tamulpur launched an search operation acting on specific tip and recovered Granades from the Bus.

Kamalpur Police today apprehended one ULFA cadre namely Khargeswar Kalita (22) from Panitema village under Kamrup district. Police launched an operation acting on specific information and nabbed the 709 battalion cadre. According to Police, Khargeswar Kalita is a trained militant and was involved in extortion in north Kamrup. Police seized some documents related to ULFA from his possession. Two persons were killed in an accident took place at Hajo under Kamrup district today at 1-30pm. According to the police sources the driver of bus No. AS-01/0444 lost his control while going to Kedar temple of Hajo and the bus fall down from the hills of Kedar temple.Two passengers of the bus namely Anil Das (26) and Nitujit Das (22) were killed on the spot and 10 others got injury.
