Encounter in Karbi Anglong: 6 NDFB rebels killed

Six NDFB rebels were killed during a heavy gun battle with army in Karbi Anglong district on Tuesday.

According to information, the encounter took place at Donghap area in the hills district on Tuesday morning. Acting on a specific information, Red Horns Division army jawans launched a massive operation in the area and thus the encounter took place for several hours.

Some a few others, however, managed to escape from the spot. Operation is on to eliminate those managed to escape the firing.

Army, further claimed to have recovered a huge cache of of arms and explosives, including grenades and gelatine sticks from the site.
