Himanta turns tide in Mangaldai HPC

Health minister of Assam and congress spokesperson Dr.Himanta Biswa Sarma has turned tide in favour of congress in the 8 Mangaldai HPC. He addressed six big election rallies in 8 Mangaldai HPC on the same day on April 17.Nearly five thousand people attended his first election rally at Lakhimpur followed by Amba Chouk with three thousand, Nepali bazaar with ten thousand, Asimtal with seven thousand, Balabari with five thousand,Dahi and Janaramchouka with thousands respectively. Addressing people at Lakhimpur under Kalaigaon LAC,Himanta hit hard at BJP, AGP and AUDF.He said that congress had been paying salaries of the employees regularly while AGP had failed to pay its employees ,not to speak of developmental works.Himanta also severely criticized AGP for their unholy alliance with BJP.According to him people of Assam would would give their verdict against the so called alliance just to remove congress from power.He also said that outcome of the secret alliance between AGP BJP and AUDF would prove to be fatal for the parties.Himanta also criticized Chandra Mohan Patowary for his close association in the secret killings while AGP had been in power. Himanta asked BJP the reason for the absence of Narayan Barkataki (who had been MP from Mangaldai) in the election campaign in his former constituency.The congress spokesperson also criticized BPF and said that it had been unnecessarily wasting huge amounts of public money by fielding their own candidate against congress in 8 Mangaldai HPC.According to him the money could well have been utilized for the developmental works.Several party workers of AGP, BJP and Bodo Peace Forum formally joined congress in the rally.
