Workshop on Youth and Democratic Governance
In a bid to sensitize young people on democratic governance, Students Mobilization Initiative for Learning through Exposure (SMILE) under Indo Global Social Service Society (IGSSS) is organizing a day long workshop on Youth and Democratic Governance on 8th April, Wednesday from 10 am. The workshop will be organized in the conference hall of Darwin School of Business near the state zoo. Democratic governance is the central to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the critical importance of democratic governance in the developing world has been discussed internationally. The workshop shall focus on the role and importance of youth of youth for god and democratic governance. There will be debates and discussions on Rule of Law, Right to Information, E- governance, Urban Governance, Panchayat System. Local Self Governance, etc. There is no joining fee for participation while college students or any young people can participate in the workshop. Great. I hope more youth today are aware about these happenings and participate in building a better world.
What will be the use of doing these kinds of workshops or seminar. It is only wastage of time nothing else. This days NGOs are also after money. This might be another way of getting money for few people.
