Pro-talk ULFA leader Rabin Gogoi and his security guard Luit Baishya died when some unidentified gunmen attacked both of them at Sadiya in upper Assam's Tinsukia distirct on Tuesday night.
According to information, the incident took place at around 8 in the evening when Gogoi was attending at a fair. His body guard died on the spot. A severely injured Rabin Gogoi was shifted to the hospital but he died on the way.
Gogoi was brokering peace between the pro-talk group and the government. Investigation is on.

Atleast 10 people sustained injury when Ulfa blew out an oil rig in Tinsukia on Saturday. Fire tenders took three hours to douse the fire.
