Refined oil worth Rs. 7.7 lakh seized
Police personnels of Jagiroad Police station led by Dhaniram Bora, Officer in-charge of the said station seized 1,200 cans of stolen refined oil from a Silchar bound truck bearing registration number As-01-U-1741 at Palahguri 10 km from Jagiroad city,on Tuesday morning. The truck drivers Pankaj Kalita of Lakhimpur and Bablu Shah of Jalpaiguri have also been arrested on the spot. Police said that refined oil was worth of Rs. 7.7 lakh and it was bearing the name Ruchi Gold Palm brand.
