Eastern Confluence is organising Curves and shades 09 at the Art Gallery of Sankardev Kalakhetra from 15th 19th February. Many people from different parts of the city have visited the exhibition. The exhibition is mixture of paintings and photographs fro different parts of the country. The painters and photographers are from North East and they are professionally engaged in different parts of the country. Film screenings of documentaries have been organized along with the exhibition by the organizers. "It is really nice to see the talents of young professional from North East India and I wish that there would more of such people if they get platform to explore, said Ms Ruma Sharama to this correspondent. The exhibition shall conclude on 19th February.
Akhil Bharatiya Sarvdharm Quami Ekta Samity, formed under the guidance of former Prime Minister Late Srimati Indira Gandhi and former President Late Sri Gyani Jail Singh in the year 1978 is going to organise a free health check up camp on 11th July 2008 on the occasion of World Population Day. The free health check up camp will be held at the Lutuma Primary School, Kahilipara from 9 a. m. onwards. The free health camp is being organised in association with North East Centre for Sustainable Development.
