Assam,NE joins Christmas celebration

Today is Christmas. Assam also joins the celebration with a message of love and peace. Festivity is what grips the state from last evening when the people celebrated the Christmas eve with sings and carols for the birth of Jesus Christ. People greet each other with Santa Claus. According to the Bible Jesus Christ was born this very day to give salvation for the sinners. Candles were lit up with fancy decorations to mark the birth of Jesus Christ the saviour.The Christmas eve celebrations at the city's Panbazar based Baptist Church stole the show. Guwahati archbishop Thomas Menamparampil hoped that the Christmas celebration will pave the way for a peace, love and harmony in the state.

The beautiful north eastern city of Shilling is in rock and roll as the Christmas celebration is on in full swing. The entire pine city is transforming into a nest of singing birds.
