Road to be named after freedom fighter

The commemorative meeting held on December 20 at Monoha in Morigaon district to discuss the contributions of late Bhogram Deka in the country’s freedom struggle decided to name the Monoha – Morigaon PWD road as Bhogram Deka road.

According to the information, Bibekananda Doloi, parliamentary secretary of PWD announced the State Government’s decision in the meeting which was presided over by Mileswar Pator, president of Morigaon Zila Sahitya Sabha.

Speaking on the occasion, Pratap Hazarika,president of Morigaon District Journalist’s Association appealed to the younger generation to follow the ideals espoused by Bhogram Deka.The meeting was also attended by Loknath Mahanta, circle officer of Mayong. Morigaon Freedom Fighter’s association president Bhaben Handique was also present in the meeting.
