The United Liberation Front of Asom is funding a god amount in the upcoming Bangladesh general election. According to Indian intelligence inputs, the banned outfit was funding in the general elections in Bangladesh to come closer to the Sheikh Hasina-led Awami league.
ULFA has recently convened a meeting in an undisclosed location near Hawraghat in Mymeinsing district where they finalised the decision to fund a huge Rs 2.5 crore in favour for the Awami League. The ULFA leadership stayed in Bangladesh for more than 15 years at thanks to the favour of the power-that-be in the country. Details are awaited.

Poaching refuses to die down in Kaziranga. Another one-horned rhino was shot dead in the famed Kaziranga National Park on. The carcass was spotted on Tuesday morning at Burhapahar. But the poachers failed to take away the horn.
Talking to assamtimes, officials said that there were reports of firing from the Burhapahar range where forces launched an operation against the poachers. Assam Human Rights Commission on Tuesday urged introduction of human rights in the syllabus of primary and secondary school and at the college level. Bodo people on Tuesday staged demonstration in Delhi demanding a judicial probe into the recent riot in BTAD areas alleging that immigrants from the neighbouring Bangladesh have been mongering trouble in these districts.
