Anjali's Book: A Guwahati Tale

Anjali is my friend. She lived in Guwahati for nearly three years. I didn't know she was researching this book!

I love to read books. Recently, I read her book, "Keeping in Touch." It's a love story set in today's world. The story is about Keteki, a designer, and Ved, a businessperson. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop.

The story begins with Keteki and Ved meeting at an airport. Ved is going to Assam to see a special lightbulb factory. Keteki is coming back home to Guwahati after an art show in London. Their chance meeting leads to a love story that goes beyond borders and takes them on adventures in Assam and other places.

What I liked about "Keeping in Touch" is how Anjali breaks the rules of storytelling. She introduces characters who move easily between India and other countries. She also uses words from the Assamese language without explaining them, making us understand the culture of the story.

The book mixes magic-like things with real life. Anjali's words make you feel like you're in Assam with its hills, forests, and rivers. The story talks about love, longing, and the search for connection in a world that often feels ordinary.

The book can be confusing at times because of many characters and stories, but it captures the feeling of normal life with special moments. The story moves fast, and cameo appearances make Keteki and Ved's relationship deeper and more complex.

Anjali's writing is clear and makes you see the places and feel the emotions in the story. It's like watching a movie on paper. She also uses symbols and themes to make you think deeply.

"Keeping in Touch" is a book you won't forget after you finish it. It's a love story happening in today's world that explores how people connect in a world that often feels far apart. No matter how you judge a book, this one won't disappoint. It's an exciting story that reminds us about love's strength and the need to connect with ourselves and others.

In short, I suggest "Keeping in Touch" to readers who enjoy well-told stories, learning about different cultures, and stories that make you think. Anjali Joseph's book shows how powerful love is and how extraordinary moments can be found in ordinary lives.

If winter comes can spring behind? Its spring time in Assam...time for celebration of the season with joy. The advent of spring is marked by the season flowers in full bloom. The rivers which lost their primes have regained its strength with the rains that end the dry spell. The entire state gets transformed into a nest of singing birds and what not.
