Mizoram University and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham to Launch STI Hubs in Mizoram

Mizoram University and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham have partnered to launch science, technology and innovation (STI) hubs in the Aizawl and Serchip districts of Mizoram. Funded by the Indian Department of Science & Technology, these hubs will provide capacity building, skill development, digital literacy, and awareness about nutrition and preventive health to tribal communities. The Mizoram Conclave on C20: Education & Digital Transformation hosted the launch event and discussed "Education under C20/G20 & alignment to National Education Policy 2020" and "Digital Transformation under C20/G20." Hari Babu Kambhampati, the Hon'ble Governor of Mizoram, was the Chief Guest at the event. The STI hubs' integrated Sustainable Livelihoods model is expected to improve social and financial capital through technology transfer, skills training, digital literacy, community empowerment, and capacity building in the Aizawl, Kolasib, Mamit, and Serchhip districts.
