Bodo Sahitya Sabha begins at Gwjwn Fwthar, Tamulpur

The 61st annual conference of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha began in Gwjwn Fwthar, Kachubari of Tamulpur district on Monday with three-day colourful programmes scheduled. As part of the programme scheduled for the first day of the conference, chairman of the reception committee Dharna Narayan Das inaugurated late Ashina Basumatary's memorial main gate, Assam's BJP president Bhabesh Kalita inaugurated late Santiswar Brahma and late Sonraran Boro's memorial guest house and Legislative Assembly Speaker Katiram Boro inaugurated late Sunil Kumar Boro's memorial main pandal. Social activist Parul Bharali Boro inaugurated the late Halodhar Ujir and the late Maneswar Boro's memorial exhibition complex.

The conference venue has been designed with welcome messages for the attendees that highlight the unity and tranquility among the society. A few hundred volunteers have been deployed to maintain smooth, successful event. All members of the reception committee and sub committees are deeply busy while discharging their duty and responsibilities for grand success of the event.

Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma arrived at Kachubari Tamulpur in Bodo Sahitya Sabha conference venue today and met members of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha. He made inspections and took stock about the preparation and arrangements ahead of the visit of the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, to the annual conference of Bodo Sahitya Sabha on May 4th. Dr Sarma also held a review meeting with senior officials from the Tamulpur district administration and police administration to take stock of the preparations. Hon'ble President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, will attend as chief guest at the annual conference's opening session on May 4th.

 Preparations for the conference have gone into full swing to ensure that it is a grand success. Today, I visited the venue to assess the preparations. " Necessary preparation and arrangements are going in full swing to meet a grand smooth success of the conference.Today, I visited the conference venue and took stock about the preparations", said Dr Sarma.

The re-polling at 24-polling station at Kachugaon ME school under 28-Gossaigaon LAC was recorded of 88.15% poll and passed off peaceful, held on Sunday in tight security in Kokrajhar. The re-polling to the No.24 polling station at Kachugaon LP school(right side) under 28-Gosaigaon LAC in Kokrajhar district has not been scheduled yet,but expecting that it would be held after Bihu.
