Hours before the Assam government came with a statement holding NDFB and ULFA responsible for the serial blast, the United Liberation Front of Asom has pinned blamed on the Sangh Parivar for the serial blasts in Assam where over 85 people have lost their limbs.
In a statement by ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa, the proscribed outfit called Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sharma as an agent of RSS and thus tried to hold him responsible for the serial blast. Denying any link with the jihadi outfits in Bangladesh, Rajkhowa maintained that killing of Assamese people is never the philosophy of the outfit and that they have been opposing religious fundamentalism in all form.
Rajkhowa said Sharma’s statement that that ULFA and Jehadis are the two sides of the same coin is enough to prove that he is a part of the RSS. ULFA further tried to establish the RSS connection citing the example of the leads in the Malegaon blast probe where the role of Sangh Parivar members have been disclosed. He said RSS has been trying to foment trouble in Assam for the last several months. a few months ago.
On the other hand, in a quick response, NDFB general secretary Gobinda Basumatary said they are not involved in the incident in any role and dared the government to come with any evidence if any to establish the veracity of the charge.
