Social activist Yamao Jwhwlao Brahma passes away
KOKRAJHAR: Noted social activist, former leader of All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) and close associate of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma Yamao Jwhwlao Brahma passed away on Wednesday night at a private hospital in Guwahati. Brahma's body was brought to his Tengapara residence in Kokrajhar on Thursday morning and cremated at Tengapara crematorium ground Kokrajhar after performing all rituals in the evening.
Brahma contributed a lot towards the uplift of Bodo community since his student life. He was one of closed associate of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma during the Bodoland mass movement. He was also associated with many social organisations.
ABSU president Pramod Boro extended his deep condolence over his death.
Former Rajya Sabha MP and UPPL president Urkhao Gwra Brahma while extending deep condolence on the demise of Yamao Zwhwlao Brahma said that Brahma was a long time warrior of Bodoland movement who has gone to another world.

At least three persons died and several others received injuries due to the lightning struck at Anthaibari under Bengtol police outpost in Chirang district on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the source, three persons have died and several other people from Anthaibari area received serious injuries due to heavy lightning this afternoon while people were watching a football match at Anthaibari playground.
The injured persons were immediately rushed to the Bengtol missionary hospital where three persons were declared brought dead.
The deceased were identified as Dilip Mushahary (40), Rayanti Basumatary (40) and Mangkeswar Basumatary (45).

Family members of NLFB leader M Batha have expressed their happiness because M Batha and other members of the militant outfit returned to the mainstream on Thursday
M Batha is originally from Daloabari village of Kokrajhar district.
Family members of Batha said that they have returned home as people always wanted peace and harmony among the society.
