Union minister Reddy visits Indo-Bhutan border
KOKRAJHAR: Union minister of state for Home affairs JK Reddy has made his maiden visit at Darranga along the India-Bhutan border area in Assam's Baksa district on Sunday.
Reddy met high officials of SSB and Indian army and made an interactive session with security officers at 64th Battalion of SSB camp base at Darranga in the Indo-Bhutan border.\
Reddy also visited border pillar at Sandroop Jhongkar along the India-Bhutan border.
During the visit, BTAD IGP Anurag Agarwal, Baksa deputy commissioner, Baksa Sp and several officials from SSB accompanied Reddy.

At least three persons died and several others received injuries due to the lightning struck at Anthaibari under Bengtol police outpost in Chirang district on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the source, three persons have died and several other people from Anthaibari area received serious injuries due to heavy lightning this afternoon while people were watching a football match at Anthaibari playground.
The injured persons were immediately rushed to the Bengtol missionary hospital where three persons were declared brought dead.
The deceased were identified as Dilip Mushahary (40), Rayanti Basumatary (40) and Mangkeswar Basumatary (45).
