AGP calls on Prez, seeks dismissal of Gogoi govt

The main Opposition Asom Gana Parishad has demand immediate dismissal of the Tarun Gogoi government alleging that it has failed to ensure safety and security of the people.

A seven member delegation of the party led by the party president Chandra Mohan Patowary on Monday called on President Pratibha Patil at the Rashtrapati Bhawan and submitted a memorandum before her alleging utter lawlessness in the state which is evident from the recent serial blasts. The delegation comprised working president Phani Bhushan Chaudhory, general secretary Padma Hazarika, MPs Sarbananda Sonowal, Birendra Prasad Baishya, Dr Arun Sarma and Kumar Dipak Das.
