KOKRAJHAR: The 27th Kokrajhar district level National Children’s Science Congress 2019 was held with day-long programme at Dotma Girls’ High School in Kokrajhar on Saturday. The Science Congress session saw large number of participation from different schools of the entire Kokrajhar district.
The programme was organised by Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC) and Kokrajhar district organising committee.
Nearly 1000 students from various schools participated the session. A science exhibition was also held with projects prepared by students.
Kokrajhar West MLA Rabiram Narzary particpiated in the event. Narzary while inaugurating the science congress said that children's science congress has been highlighting the creativity of science and its importance in today's human living. He said that school children must take strong interest on science.
Kokrajhar Inspector of Schools JP Brahma, Dr SK Paul, chief scientist, RARS, Gossaigaon, Dr Ananta Ramchiary of Bodoland University, Prof Anjali Basumatary,Kokrajgar Govt College attended the event.
Headmaster of Dotma Govt Girls High School and working president of the science congress, Dipti Prasad Brahma said the science congress session saw a good numbers of participation from entire district.
