The First Private University in Assam coming up

The Assam’s first private university with name and style Don Bosco University is set to coming up in three years time target at Tepesia on the out skirts of the Guwahati City under Don Bosco Society which initially focus on the courses which will pave the way for the guaranteed employment to its graduates and post graduates.The university proposed to be set up in accordance with the Assam Private University Act 2007. Mr Stephen Mavely, the project co-ordinater of the university is reported to have said that the campus of the university with complete infrastructure would be ready within a fix time taget of three years where universal class education will be imparted to the students exclusively on the merit basis and not considering the financial background of the parents or the guardians of the students.The sources informed that although the full-fledged campus required for a upgraded university will take time but till then classes for the courses of MBA and IT will be started at the Don Bosco Institute situated in the area of Kharguli of Guwahati city.The engineering classes are proposed to be held at Don Bosco College of Engineering and Technology of Azara.The Chief Minister of Assam is expected to flage off the multy type courses of the university based on scientific educational research.
