Prime accused of Arunchal Businessman murder case in cop’s net

Nagaon: In an operation conducted by the Mairabari Police on Friday night, Prime accused of the Arunachal businessman, Atikur Rahman murder Case was apprehended from Mairabari.

The incident is reported from Durabandi area of Mairabari, Morigaon Distrct.

The operation was conducted by a police team led by Bhupen Kalita, Officer-in-charge of Mairabari police Station.

The prime accused Manirud Jaman alias Monirudding, a resident of Durabandi, Mairabari.

It may be mentioned here that Atikur Rahman, a businessman from Arunachal Pradesh had visited Mairabari for some business purpose on December 30 and had gone missing since then. Later, on January 3 hisy deadbody was recovered from a graveyard in Duranbani village.

During the initial investigation it was found that Atiur was brutally killed by one Moniruddhin and his other two accomplices included his wife and another was Sadikul Islam who had reportedly buried him in graveyard.

In connection with the Case, the police have already sent Moniruddin’s wife and Sadikul Islam Judicial custody and was in search for Moniruddin.

Doboka Police seized 99 thousand fakenotes along with a pistol and four bullets from the possession of one Fatir ahmed, son of Ayub Al Ali of Changmaji village of Doboka in Hojai District on Saturday night. A boy named Siddique ali is receiving treatment at Nagaon BP civil hospital for a snake bite after he was bitten on the roadside of Gorajan, Rupahihat in Nagaon district on Saturday. Goods worth around 2 lakh rupees were gutted in fire after a shop at Randaichuk,Puranigudam of Nagaon district got engulfed in devastating fire on Saturday noon. The demand for dog meat in Nagaland is greater than its supply, so live dogs are illegally trafficked there from Assam. However, a major effort of these traffickers was foiled on Thursday night when locals along with the cops in Samaguri in Nagaon successfully managed to rescue 75 dogs from the clutches of the ruthless dog trade. Four traffickers were also arrested in this process.
