14 yr old gangraped in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: In yet another shocking incident, five miscreants gangraped a 14 year old girl before dumping on the roadside in Lakhimpur on Thursday.

The incident took place in Dalhat where local resident rescued the victim in the critical condition in the wee hours. Now she is battling for life at the hospital.   

A police team is investigating the incident. “We are investigating. Since the girl’s condition is not so conducive to record statement we are gathering more evidence to proceed. Beyond that we can’t say anything right now,” said a police officer.

Many organizations and individuals have demanded immediate arrest of the perpetrators and capital punishment at an earlier date.
