Say no to illicit liquor

HOJAI: In a bid to bust the spreading illicit liquor trade, the Hojai police have launched a major crackdown that has been successful in firmly dealing with the illegal traders in many pockets of the district.
A police team launched a sudden raid against the illicit country liquor trade on Saturday night forcing many people dealing in it in the town to flee from the spot.
Led by additional SP Anita Nath and assisted by Hojai police station officer in charge Kiteswar Baniya, the police team  further seized 500 litre illicit liquor and foreign liquor from Lalpatty area in the town during the raid.

Two Minor Die in Flash Flood

Hojai:-Sensation Prevailed in Hojai District's Hayang Gaon on Wednesday when a  shocking  incident of death came to light.  As Per Information, Two minor girls died in a flash flood while playing  in a field near their house.  Reportedly, the two daughter's of Hayang Gaon Panchayat President Sushil Malik viz., Beauty Malik  (7 Year's old) and Purnima Malik  (3 Year's Old) died while playing  in a field due flash flood near their house. World Environment Day Observed in Hojai

HOJAI:-Sarv Hindustani Parishad Assam State Committee  Observed World Environment Day  on Tuesday in Hojai. Boy jumps off running train

HOJAI: A sensational shocking incident of Jumping from a running train took place on Monday Evening at Hojai Railway Station. As per Railway Protection Force a Young boy identified as Barhanuddin (18 ) son of  Hassan Raja , Ward No 5 of Daboka in Hojai District jumped from running Train No. 15903 Dibrugarh Chandigarh Express at around 4:35 PM. The  severely injured boy was immediately admitted to a Private Hospital in Hojai.  Seeing his critical condition Doctors referred him to GNRC in Guwahati. Hojai: Sensation Prevailed  when a dead body found in  K R Chaudhaury Service Station (Petrol Pump) in Daboka's Madertuli area under Hojai district on Monday afternoon.The body is identified as Anil Baruah a Cook, resident of  Nagaon Town.
