Dacoit hurt in police firing, dead

RAHA:An infamous robber died in Nagaon hours after he sustained injury as he was trying to escape police during an operation on Friday. Two of his associates were captured.
The incident took place in the wee hours at Mohghuli area where a gang of dacoits was trying to strike forcing the police to step in.
Police captured two of them while others fled and one of them was shot at as police opened fire at him for trying to escape in the wee hours.
Identified as Ramjan Ali, he was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to injuries in the morning. Operation is on to nab the absconding dacoits.

Raha, Nagaon: Assam State Transport Corporation(ASTC) bus service from Kampur to Nagaon via Kampur-Raha route was flagged off on August 30 by the divisional superintendent, Apurba Barkakati of ASTC amidst cheers of the local citizens.
