Assam cricketers to go with SRK’s Knight Riders

Two Assam cricketers have been selected to the Indian Premier League’s Sharukh Khan’s Knight Riders in its second season. Both the cricketers will attend the training camp from Tuesday led by former Indian skipper Saurabh Ganguly.

According to information, Dhiraj Goswami and Krishna Das, both from Assam would join the Sahrukh Khan’s Knight Riders led by former Indian skipper Saurabha Ganguly. They would attend the training camp from Tuesday in Ahmedabad to ensure good performance. The Assam Cricket Association sources have confirmed it and said it’s a good news.

Gogoi claims all round development

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said Assam has developed on all fronts. In his address at the anniversary function at Sarusajai function on Saturday, Gogoi said that the state now ranks in third position in the human resources development index. Youth Shot Dead at Dhupdhara

A 27 years old youth was found dead at Landakhunda village, bordering Assam-Meghalaya, under Dhupdhara police station in Goalpara district early in the morning today. Top Maoist leader in NIA remand

National Investigation Agency got remand of Maoist leader Indranil Chandra, alias Ajay Das for seven days after he was produced before a special court in Guwahati on Wednesday. Chandra, who heads Maoist offensive in Assam, was brought to Guwahati from Kolkata where he was recently arrested. He was produced in a NIA designated court in Guwahati and remanded to seven days of NIA custody.
