Focus on Anukul philosophy
TANGLA: Nearly two thousand disciples of Thakur Anukulchandra from various parts of the state thronged Satsang Vihar in Tangla on Sunday to mark the 31st Foundation Day.
Apart from religious songs and prayers throughout the day, a discussion on Thakur’s philosophy and universal peace was also held on the occasion.
Retired Principal of V.B.P High School,Kopati, Pradip Malakar presided over the function flanked by Dr. N.C Mitra who delivered sermon on the ocassion.
“Satsang Vihar is a movement that promotes amity and tolerance among people, irrespective of their religious affiliations. Thakur's philosophy on the values of humanity is extremely relevant in today's world," Pradip Malakar said.
The Tangla Satsang Vihar was inaugurated by Acharya Dev Sri Sri Dada way back in March 1987.

A voter awareness rally was taken out at Tangla today by Tangla College students, ASHA and Anganwadi workers with the help of Udalguri district administration. The IQAC cell of Tangla College headed by its co-ordinator Satyen Sarma had introduced a three months "Functional Knowledge Certificate Course" on Spoken English , Internet Correspondence, Personality Development for 6th semester students of Tangla College. The inauguration ceremony of the same was held on February 18 at the college conference hall. Speaking on the ocassion Rajen Kalita former HOD Department of English mentioned the importance of English language in today's age of globalization. Saraswati Puja was celebrated in Tangla and it's neighbouring places. Students rushed schools and colleges to offer their prayers and seek divine blessings of Goddess Saraswati.
