Focus on Anukul philosophy

TANGLA: Nearly two thousand disciples of Thakur Anukulchandra from various parts of the state thronged Satsang Vihar in Tangla on Sunday to mark the 31st Foundation Day.
 Apart from religious songs and prayers throughout the day, a discussion on Thakur’s philosophy and universal peace was also held on the occasion.

 Retired Principal of V.B.P High School,Kopati, Pradip Malakar presided over the function flanked by Dr. N.C Mitra who delivered sermon on the ocassion.

“Satsang Vihar is a movement that promotes amity and tolerance among people, irrespective of their religious affiliations. Thakur's philosophy on the values of humanity is extremely relevant in today's world," Pradip Malakar said.
The Tangla Satsang Vihar was inaugurated by Acharya Dev Sri Sri Dada way back in March 1987.

The 4th annual meet of Assam College Teachers Association(ACTA) of Darrang and Udalguri zone was held at Kharupetia colllege with a day long programme on Thursday. At a time when there have been steep rise in cases of missing women and minors in Udalguri. Harisinga Police rescued a 14 year old girl child who was missing from her Harisinga residence since October 14 this year. A missing report was lodged by the family members of the child. A cleanliness drive programme was organised at Orang CHC on Sunday. Charan Boro MLA Mazbat ,Keshab Baruah and Dr.Shyam Prasad Rai Medhi briefed on the ocassion. Anti-social elements have resurfaced in buisiness hub of Udalguri district Tangla. Reportedly on Wednesday night thiefs raided multiple shops at bus stand area including theft at a grocery store located at M.B Road belonging to  Rabindra Sarkar. The Udalguri district unit of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) staged a sit-in-demonstration on Thursday at Kalaigaon bus stand in protest against the arrest and subsequent judicial custody of KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi. About one hundred protesters staged protest demonstration for nearly two hours, demanding unconditional release of the peasant leader. 63rd edition of Raas Mahotsav has got underway from November 14 on the premises of Raas field at Tangla Kukurakata in Tangla.
