Focus on Anukul philosophy

TANGLA: Nearly two thousand disciples of Thakur Anukulchandra from various parts of the state thronged Satsang Vihar in Tangla on Sunday to mark the 31st Foundation Day.
 Apart from religious songs and prayers throughout the day, a discussion on Thakur’s philosophy and universal peace was also held on the occasion.

 Retired Principal of V.B.P High School,Kopati, Pradip Malakar presided over the function flanked by Dr. N.C Mitra who delivered sermon on the ocassion.

“Satsang Vihar is a movement that promotes amity and tolerance among people, irrespective of their religious affiliations. Thakur's philosophy on the values of humanity is extremely relevant in today's world," Pradip Malakar said.
The Tangla Satsang Vihar was inaugurated by Acharya Dev Sri Sri Dada way back in March 1987.

A 15-days-long international trade fair has been organised at Indo-Bhutan border area town of Udalguri district Dimakuchi from January 1. Hundreds of people of neighbouring area are thronging the Durga Mandir site of Dimakuchi where the venue of the programme is fixed. At a time when man- elephant conflict in Udalguri district has taken one of the worst turn a loner wild jumbo created havoc at Khoiragrant area of Attarekhat under Udalguri district on Friday night. Reportedly while the loner created havoc in the village at midnight. Villagers tried to chase away the jumbo when it injured three persons out of which Kumar Pokre (35) and Ranjan Das (45) are in critical state while Tohor Kishor Porrorel (40) sustained minor injuries. Wild elephants went into a rampage on Monday night in the Indo-Bhutan border area of Udalguri. Reportedly the building of Attarekhat ME school was ransacked by a loner of jumbo. The kitchen room and office has completely demolished as a result. The school which was provincialized in 2013 has suffered atleast six attacks of wild jumbo.
