Four arrested for killing Hemant

GUWAHATI: Hatigaon police have got remand of four persons in their custody for eight days who allegedly shot dead pulse trader Hemant Chorasia in the city.

Identified as Mukuta Das, Nur Alom, Safikul Islam and Ramesh Yadav, they were picked up in this connection and were produced before a local court in Guwahati on Saturday.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening when four bikers sprayed several rounds of bullets at Hemant as the trader was on his way back to home after closing his shop. He was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
