Neiphu Rio elected uncontested

KOHIMA: Former Nagaland chief minister and NDPP candidate Neiphu Rio elected unopposed after his sole rival and NPF candidate in the Northern Angami constituency C Angami withdrew his nomination on Monday. Rio, the NDPP-BJP alliance chief ministerial candidate received certificate from the returning officer in the evening. Altogether 192 candidates are contesting in the February 27 assembly polls in the north eastern state.
