NRC verification process underway in BTAD

Kokrajhar: Only a few days are left to publish the NRC draft. The government and contractual employees deployed in the statewide operation have stepped up the verification process in BTAD areas along with other parts of the stateMany local organizations are also coming out to help the employees and the people. The mood is taking a comfortable turn as soon as the Supreme Court asked the authority to publish the draft by December 31 and validating the panchayat papers as supporting documents.   

 

Goria Maria Deshi Jatiya Parishad, ABMSU hailed the Supreme Courts order to use panchayat certificate in the NRC update as supporting document. NRC officials, who are engaged in NRC Seva Kendra are doing door to door verification of NRC in their respective area to check NRC related documents with proper procedure. Majority of the families, who were served notice to check verification documents, have shown their proper concern documents in front of verifying officials and claimed that they are citizens of the state as proved to the NRC officials.

 

Bhola Ghosh,a resident along the Narabari village under Bhatipara NSK said his family have proper documents while checking NRC documents.'We have been living here since long years and shown all required documents in front of verifying officials as check during their visit', he said.

 

 NRC officials told that they have been verifying one to one families who are receiving notices for verifications. Families and citizens have extended best support to the verifying documents that are prescribed by concern authority to check the documents by making door to door visit, NRC official said.

'All families have shown their required documents properly during the verification', NRC officials added. Selim Patgiri, Goria Maria Deshi Jatiya Parishad said that it will be extending support to initiate NRC updation across the state in a smooth procedure. 'We hope,draft publication of NRC would be meeting a smooth completion by December 31 next in peacefull manner',he said.
