BJP legislators visit to Assam-Nagaland border

Led by Mrinal Saikia visited A, B and C sector on Thursday and Friday and talked to the villagers who alleged excess by a,section of Naga people.

Talking to reporters, Saikia said they did not want to strike controversy in thr name of border visit and that the allegations of incursion by the Naga people in the territory were not true. He said only a section of people are building houses on the soil demanded by the Naga people.

They visited the place where the Nagaland authority has allegedly set up Okai sub division last week. But they did not see anything on the soil of Assam.

But the villagers in Merapani area have said that they were forced to pay taxes in the markets and shops. Further, they can't move freely in their own areas after the sunset.
