14 ACS, APS officers jailed in APSC scam

GUWAHATI: A special court in Guwahati on Tuesday remanded 14 ACS and APS officers to judicial custody after the end of their 14 days police custody in connection with the APSC scam.

The Dibrugarh police probing the scam produced these officers before the special court in the morning and sought no extension of their demand.

Then the court reminded them to the judicial custody for 14 days. All of them were arrested during the initial stage of the massive crackdown.

Other officers now would be produced before the court at the end of the police custody one by one. So far the special operation unit set up to probe the scam has arrested 22 ACS,APS and allied service officers. Two others have been absconding while another has moved the court for anticipatory bail.
