Blood stained memo to PM on Bodoland

 In a bizarre move, thousands of activists and Bodo citizens sent their blood stained memorandum to prime minister Narendra Modi on Monday demanding separate Bidoland.

With banners and placards, the protestors thronged Kokrajhar town where they staged protest for three hours jointly organized by All Bodo Students Union (ABSU), National Democratic Front of Bodoland- Progressive (NDFBP) and People’s Joint Action Committee for Bodoland Movement (PJACBM)

Using their blood as ink in the memorandum, the organizations urged Central government to consider their claim for a separate state under Article 2 and 3 of the Indian Constitution and also to ensure political rights of Bodos living in Assam outside the proposed Bodoland.

 In Kokrajhar, the campaign was organized in front of DC Office where thousands of agitators participated.
 Lawrence Islary, GS of ABSU,former Rajya Sabha MP and UPPL president Urkhao gwra Brahma have joined hand in the agitation and demanded early solution of Bodoland issue through political dialogue

Talking to Asssm Times, Lawrence Islary general secretary of ABSU, told that thousands of people including women and children participated in the protest with banner, placards and shouted slogans like ‘we want Bodoland, no Bodoland no rest, Divide Assam /50/50 and much more.

 He claimed that nearly 50,000 peoples singed their signature with blood in support of Bodoland separate state creation across the state through signature campaign and protest dharna. He also said that the protest covers almost entire State of Assam from Kokrajhar to Jonai in the north bank of Brahmaputra River.

 He has announced a series of movement in support of Bodoland state,which are included Maha Dharna and Maha Rally in Delhi by last week of November, indefinite economic blockade first week of December next,indefinte hunger strike during the parliament session of 2017.

Brahma demanded immediate solution of Bodoland issue through poitical dialogue and held peace and development in the region.He has alleged that the governments have been tactically delayed the issues of the demand and creation of Bodoland state since long years.
