Talent search exam results declared
The All Bodo Students’ Union(ABSU) on Saturday declared results of 4th central talent search examination-2017 at Bodofa House in Kokrajhar, which was conducted by the students’ union on October 8 in 173 examination centres across the state for class IX and X students for Bodo medium.
In class X category, Anchuma Basumatary of UN Academy, Barpeta Road and Dhanista Machahary,UN Academy, Kokrajhar have spotted first, Swrangsar Basumatary of Bathou Ashram HS school, Baksa and Raidaw Basumatary of UN Academy of Tamulpur were spotted second and third respectively. In class IX category, Bipul Daimary of UN Academy,Paneri adjusted first,Hangmasar Basumatary of Sanja Bwrli Swlwngsali,Goreswar spotted second, Mwnsingchi Basumatary of UN Academy,Khoirabari Udalguri and Subham Boro of Hathorki Foraishali,Salbari were adjusted third respectively.
The spot holders will be awarded cash 10,000,7000 and 5000 along with citation for first,second and third respectively during the ABSU's Sonitpur session in 2018 next.
Deepen Boro,vice-president of ABSU declaring the results said that the ABSU every year has been conducting the central talent search examination to find out talent children in the state.
A total 10,200 candidates appeared in the examination out of 12,836 applied candidates in 173 centres across the state. The talent search examination was conducted in smooth and thorough strict discipline in the state where students seated with competativeness environment.
‘The talent search examination has been gaining up good educational environment among Bodo medium students in the state.It has been getting good response from the students as well citizens’,Boro said.

KOKRAJHAR: The Silver Jubilee celebration and 25th All Bodoland Taekwondo Championship-2019 has begun from Monday with three-days-colourful-programme scheduled at Sicknajhar Taekwondo Gymnasium, Bodofa Nwgwr in Kokrajhar district.

KOKRAJHAR: The Kamatapur Liberation Organization (KLO) Coordination Front consisting former cadres of of KLO has urged upon the KLO members who are still struggling with arms to come to the main stream to participate in peace process.

KOKRAJHAR: A three-day Platinum Jubilee celebration of the No.753 DN Himmatsingkha Lower Primary School, Kokrajhar has entered into second day on Saturday at its school premises. The celebration has witnessed various competitions like arts, cultural, literary etc amongst the students.

KOKRAJHAR: Citizens in Lower Assam districts including Bodoland Territorial Council have expressed happiness and gladness having found resumed of internet services today after eight days blockade.
The internet service was found resumed at 9 am that saw smilling and happiness environment amongst the citizens in the region.

KOKRAJHAR: Police arrested five protesters in Kokrajhar on Wednesday who burnt effigies of chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019.
Activists and members from All Assam Nath Yogi Students Union carried out a protest demonstration along the JD Road near District Computer centre in Kokrajhar against the CAB bill and burnt effigies of Sonowal and Sarma. The protestors staged protest demonstration with shouting slogans demanding early withdrawal of the bill.

KOKRAJHAR: The ruling partner in the state alliance government, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has said that the their party is going to participate in the ensuing 2020 BTC general elections.
Speaking the reporters at Kokrajhar Press Club on Sunday, AGP leader Subir Chakraborty told that his party was fully prepared to contest the council elections due in March-April 2020 under the alliance spirits of BJP-BPF-AGP in the state.
