Run for unity in Kokrajhar

Kojrajhar organized the run for unity on Tuesday on the occasion of the Rastriya Ekta Divos commemorating the birth anniversary of Ballav Bhai Patel.

Hundreds of people participanted from different government offices, citizens,NGO in the run,which was organised by District Administration, Kokrajhar to celebrate the birth anniversary of Patel. Niranjan Baruah, Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar flagged off the run at Govt HS and MP School ground and traversed to DC office road, Shantinagar Road via fly over and ended at the same.

Baruah said that the run for unity has been organised to celebrate the birth anniversary of Patel.Peoples,apart from government offices, jawans from Assam Police, SSB, officer, NGO organisers participated with great enthusiastic moment in the in the early morning to mark the Rastriya Ekta Divos, he said.

'The run was a mark of recalling Patel in the country through organising unity and integrity environnement. People's great participation show that unity is required among human society to make healthy living environnement in the state ',Baruah said.

Rajen Singh, Kokrajhar SP participating the run said that it is a programme for creating unity and integrity in the country.

'Huge participants took part in the run to celebrate the Rastriya Ekta Divos today.Through this run programme, unity and integrity would be restored in the state ',Singh said.

Participants expresed their happiness over the Divos celebration said that they have got opportunity to run on the occasion with great enthusiastic environnement.

'I am very much lucky to be part of the run for unity. Me and participants completed the run wholely, starting to finishing', a participant said.
