Employees strike paralises DC offices

Employees of the district administration in Kokrajhar have continued their non-cooperation agitation demanding solution of various grievances, which include separate pay structure, implement the assurance commitment from government on August 24(2017),stop divided rule among DC office staffs etc.

District administration employee and staffs staged dharna in front of DC office today on its second day agitation, which was organized under the banner of All Assam District Administration Employees Association.

Different district administration offices in BTAD region, have witnessed disruption in the daily activities at their respective office premises due to employees strike with three-day long agitation.

Babul Dhar, association leader in Kokrajhar said that the association has been demanded separate pay structure for district administration staffs in the state, reinstated of chief chowkidar and chief peon posts as earlier in the state.

He has alleged that state government has been failed to make implementation of the assurance committed by the State government on August 24 this year. He has urged the government to come up with fulfill of the commitment promised to the employees in the state, otherwise face stronger agitation in coming days.
