12 jailed for gambling in Hojai

The Hojai police have arrested 12 gamblers as they were gambling on Thursday late night defying the restrictions imposed by the authorities.  

Acting on a tip off, Hojai Police had a sudden visit to the Krishna nagar area where 12 gamblers were picked up who were gambling at a room. 

A case was registered in Hojai Police Station  bearing No No. 717/17 under section 13/14 of Assam Game and Betting Act. All they were sent to jail.
