Cherry blossom fest in Shillong

Addressing media in New Delhi on Monday, Meghalaya chief minister Dr Mukul M Sangma and Prof Dinabandhu Sahoo, Director, Institute of Bioresources & Sustainable Development (IBSD) said many countries have already confirmed their participation in the three days  international event, first of its kind in the eastern part of the country.

Sangma said his capital city is fit and fine to host theme event which would help boost the tourism sector apart from germinating the hopes of cherry cultivation.
