NDFB threatens agitation

The National Democratic Front Boroland (Progressive) has warned of a massive agitation movement demanding separate Boroland.

The rebel  outfit left the message as they observed 29th Martyrs’ Day on Thursday at the designated camps in Kokrajhar, Baksa and Udalguri district.

 Member and leaders of NDFB-P as well martyrs’ family members paid homage on the occasion at the Serfanguri designated camp in Kokrajhar and the NDFB flag was hoisted half mast by M Gerema, Home Secretary of the organization.

 In Baksa’s Barbari,Gavinda Basumatary,general secretary of the NDFB-P hoisted organisation flag and paid floral tribute to martyrs. In Udalguri,Dhiren Boro,president of the organisation attended the prgogramme and paid homage in a well attended function.

At Sonai designated camp in Udalguri district,Ranjan Daimary fcation NDFB observed the day with day-long programme scheduled.Ranjan Daimary,founder chairman of the NDFB paid homage to martyrs.

Talking to Assam Times, R Daokha, assistant secretary for information and publicity, NDFB-P accused the government of tactically delaying the Bodoland issue,even though it has been holding peace talks on the issues,yet the talks to be met fruitful on its reality.

 He also demanded immediate information about missing cadre and leaders of the organisation in the ‘all-clear operation’ that took place in 2003.

 

 ‘Five-six cadres are still went missing in the operation and there is no any information whereabout them’,he added.

General assembly session preparation

Observer training

The training for the Micro Observers appointed for 31- Sidli LAC was held at Chirang  DC office on Monday. Two persons killed and four others received serious injured following thunderstorm's hit at various places in Kokrajhar district on Monday morning.  The thunderstorm struck which took place around 8.30 am this morning leaving  two lives lost,  besides injured four persons in different places in Kokrajhar district. KLO cadre arrested

Security forces continue its intensying operation in the area ahead assembly election. Another cadre Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) was apprehended today from Harigaon area under Kokrajhar PS. He was identified as Kiren Ray (22) of Balagaon Part-I, who was involved with extortion,arms peddling,kidnapping and logistic spports to the outfit organisation. 28 in the fray in BTAD constituencies

Wild elephant kills 1

A 12-years-old youth identified as Som Soren of Santipur Ultapani was died on the spot and another received serious injured following trampled by wild elephant late last night at Ultapani along the Indo-Bhutan border area in Kokrajhar district.  According to villagers, a herd of 4 wild elephants reached the No.2 Santipur village late last night and attacked the villagers where the youth was died on the spot and another received serious injured. Hagrama Mohilary reacts on NDFB-S
