Huge rally in Namrup for another BVFCL plant

The All Assam Students Union held a huge rally in Namrup demanding a new plant in the Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Co-orporation Limited ( BVFCL).

Other demands include an immediate steps to modernize II and III manufacturing plants of the country’s premier fertilizer manufacturing company.

In his speech, AASU general secretary Lurin Jyoti Gogoi said, “ the basic purpose of the rally is to mount pressure on the centre and the state governments to setup yet another BVFCL Plant to enhance the brown field of Ammonia. The rally proposed to mount pressure on the Centre to ensure the proposed unit at an earlier date.

Many local organizations joined the rally. They include present Namrup Anchalik Samanay Mahila Samitee , APL Workers Union , Fertilizers Workers Union , Fertilizer Swramik Union , Namrup Press Club , Heuji Sangha , All Assam Lekhika Samaruh , Samalaya Kobi Chakra , Assam State Powers Workers Union Namrup , Namrup Regional Student Union , All Assam Student Union Namrup , Namrup Senior Citizen , Tai Ahom Student U
