Torch rally to warn anti-national gang

More than 500 former ULFA rebels took out a huge torch rally in Raha hours after the 12 hour long local bandh passed off peacefully in protest against the Nagaon incident where a trader and his associates thrashed a few of their colleagues. 


The rebels thronged the central Assam area in the afternoon and took out the torch rally shouting slogans against those involved in thr nefarious design to attack the native people. 

Some of these protestors reiterated the move to resume the arms struggle if these people of doubtful nationality try to dominate the native ones. 

A section of the protesters suddenly shouted slogans supporting ULFA(I) military head Paresh Baruah and his stand. Local residents in large number representing many organizations also joined the rally.

Raha, Nagaon: Assam State Transport Corporation(ASTC) bus service from Kampur to Nagaon via Kampur-Raha route was flagged off on August 30 by the divisional superintendent, Apurba Barkakati of ASTC amidst cheers of the local citizens.
