Former rebels threaten to resume armed conflict

 A huge crowd in Nagaon on Friday warned of a fierce armed struggle to counter the attack on the indigenous people by s section of the outsiders.


Speakers after speakers in the massive meetings of thr former ULFA rebels strongly advocated a full circle armed struggle to ensure the rights of the indigenous people over the state’s resources.

ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa said that the need of the hour is an armed struggle to restore the rights of the indigenous lots in Assam.

“We are running out of the patience. Why our patience is being tested again and again?. The consequence would be dire. Then nobody can blame us.”

Former ULFA leader Jiten Dutta and others also left fiery speeches' reiterating a dire consequence of yet another attempt to sabotage the indigenous people. They said armed struggle is the need of the hours at least to restrict a section of the outsiders.

From early in the morning many former ULFA rebels and civil society organizations thronged in thousand to send a strong message to the outsiders not to dominate the indigenous people.
