Clean chit to business man in sensational case

A local session court in Guwahati exonerated a prominent business man from a sensational murder case 22 years back.

In its final judgment on Tuesday, the court rejected the charge sheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation who indicted Bhagya Kalita of murdering Karabi  Das and her younger daughter Dubari.

But the court took 22 years to exempt the businessman from this sensational case which took place at Chandmari in Guwahati in 1995.
