Two bodies recovered

Two accidental deaths in two different places sent no less shock in Kojrajhar on Friday. The first one took place at Islampur where a woman  was  electrocuted to death.    

According to police, one Rashida Bibi (35) wife of  Wajj Ali of Islampur village Kazigaon in Kokrajhar district died of electricution.The incident took place around 5:30 am in the morning as she went to the nearby electric post where she has been electrocuted. 

In separate incident in Chirang, a body was found floating on the Champawati River at Basugaon of Chirang district. The body was identified as Prasenjit Das of Turibari village. He went missing since Thursday.

Footballer Apurna Narzary to receive Emerging Player award in Bodoland Territorial Region

Apurna Narzary, an international women's football player, has been nominated for the Emerging Player award for 2022-23 by the Sports & Youth Welfare department of the government of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).
