FCI godown in Kokrajhar under water
The current flood wave is learnt to have damaged a huge quantity of rice to the tune of 1000 quintal, stored at the Food Corporation of India (FCI) godown in Kokrajhar.
There seems to be no respite in the flood wave which brings brimful misery to the people in the BTAD areas. More rainfall keeps the rivers swelling till Friday and the surging waters have submerged more areas on every passing day.
The road communication along the JD Road in Kokrajhar town remains heavily disrupted for flood along with many residential areas. The marooned people are forced to take shelter at high places.
