Prime minister Narendra Modi has assured Assam all possible to help the state mitigate the misery in the tine of flood as he reviewed the situation in Guwahati on Tuesday.
Flanked by governor Banwarilal Purhir, Assam chief minister Sarbananda and his senior ministerial colleagues presented before Modi an audio visual presentation of the flood fury where 83 people were killed.
The government further sought a huge around Rs 30,000 crore fund to repair the ravaged roads and bridges apart from the measures to permanently resolve the perennial monsoon misery.
Later, Modi addressed BJP, AGP and BPF legislators abd asked them to help the government work efficiently.
